Rudolph Libbe Inc. expanding Walbridge HQ

To keep pace with its continuing growth, Rudolph Libbe Inc., a Rudolph Libbe Group company, is building a 10,000 square foot addition to its northwest Ohio headquarters at 6494 Latcha Road in Walbridge.

According to the company, the expansion will make the most of natural light and will include collaboration spaces, eight conference / huddle rooms, 10 enclosed offices, 40 workstations, and two hoteling stations. A new entrance drive and improved landscaping is also part of the project.

“We’ve been growing steadily and this new addition will give us the space we need to continue to add associates and serve our customers,” said Tim Alter, president of Rudolph Libbe Inc. “We designed the new addition with current and future generations of construction professionals in mind. We want our associates to have flexibility as to how they work. We want them to have everything they need to continue to succeed.”

Construction on the addition began in May and is expected to be complete in early 2020, within weeks of Rudolph Libbe’s 65th anniversary on March 15. In 2020, additional renovations are planned for the existing headquarters, including a new café and work spaces, noted the company.

Over the last 10 years, Rudolph Libbe has added about five office associates per year, and employs 10-12 interns each semester from the University of Toledo (UToledo) and Bowling Green State University (BGSU), as well as other colleges.

Brothers Fritz and Phil Rudolph, and their cousin Allan Libbe, founded Rudolph Libbe on the site of the Rudolph family farm in 1955. The 18 acres surrounding the existing office easily accommodates the addition with plenty of room for future growth, noted the company.

“Today we work on projects all over the country, but we’ve always been committed to keeping our headquarters in northwest Ohio,” Alter said. “That’s home for many of our customers and most of our associates. After 65 years, this is still the best location for us. We’re a 10-minute drive from downtown Toledo and we’re near I-75, I-280, and the Ohio Turnpike. GEM Inc., another Rudolph Libbe Group company, is less than a mile away.”
